L'endroit est magnifique, le personnel très gentil et compétent, la nourriture variée et tres bien cuisinée. Nous devions repartir le 1er mars mais le conflit au moyen orient nous empêche de repartir. Le responsable de l'hôtel a trouvé une solution pour que nous puissions rester en attendant un retour éventuel. Après 7 jours dans cet endroit magique, l'attention de tout le personnel nous permet de traverser cette épreuve sereinement. Nous ne leur en serons jamais assez reconnaissants..! Je n’ai pas les mots pour décrire les trois jours passés ici tellement c’était merveilleux : l’impression d’être seuls au monde, dans un cadre paradisiaque, avec un service au petit soin. Les chambres/ maisons sont magnifiques et authentiques, une salle de bain en plein air, une literie très confortable, vous vous réveillez avec les sons des oiseaux au petit matin. Que dire que la piscine interminable donnant directement sur la plage, vous avez vu mer et plus qu’à choisir entre baignades piscine ou baignades mer. Nous avons eu également la chance d’aller observer les dauphins - activité que propose l’hôtel, un rêve éveillé ! Et cerise sur le gâteau, nous avons également pu aller voir un relâche de bébés tortues sur la mer par des locaux grâce aux conseils de notre hôte. Quiet resort, recently completely renovated, with spacious, tastefully furnished cabanas (no hot water!) featuring open-air bathrooms. Comfortable bed with good pillows and a large mosquito net; we didn’t need air conditioning (though it is available). Stunning sunsets over the sea can be enjoyed from the infinity pool. A great manager oversees everything and can arrange tours for you. What truly set it apart was the personal engagement of the staff (e.g., Sampath) , who interacted with guests authentically and with genuine personality, creating a feeling of being at home rather than in a hotel. We also had the pleasure of spending time with the owner, Dallas, who generously shared the inspiring story of Sri Lanka, the resort’s journey, and his own personal experiences. We came to Bar Reef for the first time since it opened from COVID, the experience has been excellent. The resort is in a location that gives a perfect sense on tranquillity and relax. They offer a wide range of services and tours catering to your every need. Extremely nice and friendly staff who are willing to give a hand whenever you need. We especially found ourselves extremely well with Sampath and chef chamila who were always curious to ask how we are, see how they could help us, and what they can do to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
